Modern norm-conserving pseudopotentials are constructed such that the scattering properties of the all-electron atom are reproduced around the reference energy configuration up to first order in energy, following pseudopotentiale procedure described in [Hamann][Hamann]and [Troullier].
Abinit employs iterative eigenvalue solvers to solve the KS equations. See Version Compatibility below if you get an "End of File" error with abinit.
The total nonlocal part of the Hamiltonian is obtained by summing the different atom-centered contributions. Old legacy pseudopotential tables can be find here.
